Moving is often a challenge, with many responsibilities on your plate. Our goal is to make this transition as simple as possible for you, which is why we've crafted these moving checklists. First Month's Rent & Security Deposit
Your first month's rent and security deposit both are due at the lease signing. The full amount needs to be paid or we cannot release your keys.
Move-in Date & Inspection
Our team will set the official move-in date and provide all inspection details at the lease signing.
As a tenant in a Zen Rent Property Management home, you are responsible for placing all utility accounts in your name and keeping them current. Take care of this immediately after the lease signing to avoid losing access to your utilities.
Notice of Intent to Vacate
As a tenant in one of our homes, you are responsible for providing us with notice of your intent to vacate the premises. Please provide written notice to give us time to prepare for new renters.
Your home must be brought back to its original condition before you return the keys. This includes the following:
- Rental Cleaning: Carefully clean every room in your rental home and remove all of your belongings from the premises.
- Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you take care of landscaping and general maintenance tasks for your rental home, do these once more before vacating.
- Repairs: If any damage occurred inside your property during your stay, please take the necessary steps to make repairs.
Any damage that isn't repaired inside your rental home will be identified during your final inspection. We will schedule repair visits as necessary and deduct expenses from the deposit.
Please remember, these funds cannot be used for your final rent payment.
